Field trip: GoHike: Beginner Hiking Course

April Hikes: 2.5 - 5 miles, 250 - 1,000 feet gain - Anti-Aircraft Peak—Clay Pit Peak Loop

This hike counts toward your monthly required GoHike course hike for April. - Anti-Aircraft Loop - A walk through mature second growth forest in an area rich with history from the coal mines of the early 1900's to cold war era missile batteries now long closed. History aside, the Cougar Mountain trail system has a surprisingly remote feel for being as close as it is to the city of Bellevue with a complex web of intersecting trails many with characteristics all their own. We'll explore several of them while drinking in the peaceful natural environment.
