Meet at the Mountain Goat Coffee Shop in Packwood at 9:00 AM. We'll caravan from there. If you'd like coffee or pastry, please arrive earlier so we can leave as a group for the trailhead by 9:00 AM. The leader will help facilitate carpooling.

From the trailhead, we'll hike 4.5-5.5 miles along trail 78 to the Northside of Packwood Lake, where we'll find a spot to set up camp. Once settled, there will be an option to continue the hike along the Upper Lake Trail to search for wildflowers, wildlife and more views. The next morning, we'll pack up and hike back via the pipeline road for a loop trip.
This backpack is for students in the Backpack Leader course. As such, we'll spend time talking about outdoor leadership including planning, posting and best of all leading backpacks!
