This practice camp for Royce's mentor group at Magnuson Park will allow their group to practice packing their pack, setting up their shelter, gathering and filtering/treating water and making a meal, while also checking out their mentors' and fellow mentees' gear.

This practice camp for Royce's mentor group at Magnuson Park will allow their group to practice packing their pack, setting up their shelter, gathering and filtering/treating water and making a meal, while also checking out their mentors' and fellow mentees' gear. Students from other mentor groups are welcome if space allows.
The practice camp for Royce's mentor group at Magnuson Park is March 28, 2026 - the same day as Demo Day. Both events (Demo Day and Royce's mentor group practice camp) will be held on March 28. Practice Camp will occur in the morning, then our group will attend the Demo Day in the afternoon. You see equipment in use in the morning and then hear the Demo Day presenters talk about the equipment and see alternatives.
Required Equipment
Bring your backpack loaded with all of the gear that you have rented, borrowed or bought to date, and all of your questions!
Being as much backpacking equipment as you have available.
