This field trip will give B3 students the opportunity to try out gear and new skills on a moderate 2-night backpack with an experienced mentor.

Details to come. Currently planning ~21 mile, 3-day/2-night hike (NANNIE RIDGE-PACIFIC CREST TRAIL-COLEMAN WEEDPATCH LOOP). Itinerary may change based on weather conditions, availability of water, and to avoid any persistent snow. Alternate itineraries include 14-mile WALUPT LAKE-PACIFIC CREST TRAIL-NANNIE RIDGE LOOP and ~18-mile Surprise Lake loop with side trip to Conrad Basin.
Priority registration for students in Yates and Casey's B3 group. Students in other B3 groups can request permission on May 28.

Required Equipment
The Ten Essentials, plus overnight gear as specified by the trip leader. We will expect lots of bug pressure this time of year; treating your gear with Premethrin in advance is highly recommended.
