Backpacking Building Blocks Student-Only Backpack - East Baker Lake

Great early season introduction to backpacking. Easy, low elevation gain walk along Baker Lake. Old growth tress, bridges and possible view of Mt Baker and Mt Shuksan with a side trip to see "Big Doug", the famous gnarly Douglas fir. Preference given to Shuko and Jenne's mentor group. Other B3 members may contact Shuko after April 26th if there is room on the roster.

Hike to Noisey Creek Campsite 4.5 miles. Set up camp by the lake. We can go visit "Big Doug", the old Douglas Fir, about a mile or so round trip.

Next day, we will break camp and hike out. Possible gathering at a great bakery, 5B's, afterwards before we head home.

Meet at 9:30 am on the East Baker River trailhead parking lot packed and ready to hike.
