  • Elevation Gain: 4,000 ft
  • Pace: 1.5-2 mph

Meet Friday, May 10, at Field's Point Landing at 8:45am near the ticket office with your backpack ready to go.  The Lady Express boat loads at 9am, and leaves the dock at 9:20am.

We'll return to Field's Point Landing Sunday, May 12, about 2pm, leaving plenty of time to get home.

This early season trip on the east side of the Cascades is a favorite of B3 students and mentors. Participants should be prepared for warm, sunny days hiking on hilly terrain along Lake Chelan at a moderate pace.

Priority registration for students in Yates and Casey's mentor group prior to April 1. Other B3 students can request permission on April 15 or later.

Day 1: We’ll meet at Field’s Point Landing, take the Lady of the Lake ferry and be dropped off at Prince Creek. From Prince Creek, we'll hike up 7.6 miles to the Meadow Creek campsite.

Day 2: We’ll hike 10 miles into the small town of Stehekin, WA and set-up camp at the Lakeview/Purple Point campsite (where we will enjoy indoor plumbing!).

Day 3: Options for spending in the morning in Stehekin include riding rental bikes to Rainbow Falls, a day hike to Purple Pass, hanging out in Stehekin, and hitting up the beloved Stehekin Bakery. The ferry will leave Stehekin at 12:30pm.

There are costs involved with this trip.  Participants will each be responsible for the $92 roundtrip ferry fee. Advanced ferry reservations will need to be made for this trip at least 1 week prior to the trip either online at https://ladyofthelake.com/overnight-one-way-tickets/ or by calling 509-682-4584. Participants will also want to bring cash for optional bakery purchases, bike rental, or lunch at the ferry dock. And some participants may choose to stay overnight Thursday in Wenatchee or the Lake Chelan area before meeting the group Friday at 8:45am

This trip will happen rain or shine
