This is a beginner’s backpacking trip, giving students the opportunity to try out their gear and apply the skills they've learned in the B3 course.
We will hike 4.5 miles to the Noisey Creek Campsite, and set up camp by the lake. We can then go visit "Big Doug," the old Douglas Fir, about a mile or so round trip.
On the 2nd day, we will break camp and hike out. There may be an optional gathering at a great bakery, 5B's, afterwards before we head home.
Meet at 9:30 am on the East Baker River trailhead parking lot packed and ready to hike.
