Meet at the south lake trailhead Saturday morning at 9 am.  Trail conditions scouted in advance will determine if we leave and return from the south trailhead, or hike from the south trailhead to the north trailhead with a car shuttle.  Either option provides a great backpacking experience along the east bank trail.

A good early season destination along the East Bank trail of Baker Lake.  See ww.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/baker-lake-maple-grove and www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/baker-lake.  Trail conditions scouted in advance will determine if we leave and return from the south trailhead, or hike from the south trailhead to the north trailhead with a car shuttle.  Total mileage for either of these options is about 14 miles for the two day trip.

Early priority registration will be given to students in Sarah's mentor group  from April 1 through April 10 at 8pm.  Then any B3 students can email Sarah at hess@whidbey.com for leader permission to sign-up.  Permission requests are not accepted before this registration opening.

A "Hello Hiker" email will be sent about a week before the trip with more detailed information.
