This conditioner is structured to try and ensure everyone gets a workout while still allowing those who are building their conditioning to participate without worrying about being "the slow one".  Please ensure you are comfortable with these ground rules:

  1. To ensure everyone gets sufficient conditioning, we will each hike up at our own pace.
  2. We will hike down together as a group.
  3. Because of the potential for you to be hiking alone, you must have done the Old Mailbox Peak trail before and be able to navigate it alone in the dark.
  4. Before we start the hike, we will decide as a group on a turnaround time. Once we hit that time, whoever is in the lead will turn around, collecting anyone who is still ascending on the way down.
  5. We may adjust the plan based on recent trip reports of trail conditions, particularly snow or ice.

Priority to Foothills Basic students and instructors until 11/20. You have permission to sign up starting on 11/17. Starting 11/20, anyone can request permission. Please let me know what other hikes you've done recently, and when was the last time you did Old Mailbox.

This conditioner format was borrowed from Travis Prescott. :)
