Intro to Frontcountry Trail Running - May Valley Loop (Squak Mountain)

Learn and practice trail running skills at a local frontcountry trail.

  • Elevation Gain: 800 ft

We will meet at the parking lot for Squak Mountain on May Valley Road. Address: 201430 SE May Valley Rd, Issaquah, WA 98027. There is an outhouse at this parking lot. Horses and dogs are allowed on these trails. Please check with course leaders before bringing your own pets.

Please be ready to start at 7:00pm.
A Discover Pass is required to park here.

Directions from the WTA:
I-90 to Exit 15 (WA 900 / 17th Ave NW). Take this road south; if you've been traveling eastbound on I-90 that's a right turn off the interstate. The road will become Renton-Issaquah Road SE. About 4 miles from the interstate, turn left on May Valley Road. Drive 2.5 miles to a large sign for Squak Mountain State Park on your left.

This session focuses on running uphills and downhills.

  • Waterproof jacket, hat, buff, gloves, sunglasses, gaiters are recommended.
