Climbing Conditioner - Upper Town Wall Trail

A short but steep conditioning hike for Everett Climbing students or graduates on the Index Upper Town Wall Trail. A good place for a weekday evening workout.

  • High Point Elevation: 1,800 ft

This is a real climbers' trail.  It is steep and winds up past a number of rock-climbing routes.  We will spend enough time at the top for everyone to gather for a group photo.  

Meet at the Index Town Wall parking lot ready to hike at 5:30 PM.

Mountaineering boots.

Bring a headlamp since it will likely get dark on the way down.

Bring as much weight as you like.

Trekking poles will make the descent easier on your knees but are not required. 

If it is cold, microspikes might be handy in a couple of spots.
