Required Equipment

Pack for a cragging trip. At a minimum, you will need climbing shoes, helmet, harness, ATC style belay/rappel device, nut tool, personal anchor, 8 to 10 alpine draws (or a mix of alpine and quick draws), 2 to 4 double runners, a cordellete and/or large runner (180 - 240 cm), and several locking and non-locking carabiners. If you already have your own trad gear, bring that as well; if you don’t have anything yet, there will be some gear you can borrow. Make sure your gear is clearly marked in some fashion.

This is just the minimum amount of gear you need for the trip. If you have other gear you’d like to bring, such as a gri-gri,  please don’t hesitate; you are responsible for knowing how to use this gear. Also, be sure to bring the necessary non-climbing items like snacks, water,  sunglasses, layers, etc.
