Meet at Mud Bay Park & Ride off State Route 101 at 7:45 a.m. Carpool to Church Creek. If the snow level is low enough to cover this trail, we will relocate to an alternate trail based on Forest Service guidance.

The Olympia Mountaineers offers you and your friends a chance to give back to the wonderful trail system we all enjoy in the Pacific Northwest. The US Forest Service has requested our help to re-open and maintain the Church Creek Trail located in the southern part of Olympic National Forest (about 50 miles from Olympia). The June 4th trail maintenance will consist of Crosscut Saw work to clear passage through large downed trees, brushing to cut back vegetation from encroaching on the trail pathway and tread repair to restore trail from winter drainage problems. Try your hand at any or all. Build new skills, enjoy a fun day of service and gain a sense of accomplishment having done a good deed for other hikers.   For details and to participate you must contact Jim French  - jimfrenchwa@comcast.net
