This signature event raises funds to sustain our Conservation and Advocacy Programs at The Mountaineers.

It is no secret that our trails and parks are busier than ever. As more and more people find joy and belonging outdoors, many of our beloved natural places are beyond strained. At The Mountaineers, we face an increasing tension between our conservation and recreation values. And, we are not alone. Looking across Washington, many others including Tribes, public land managers, recreationists, and conservation advocates are actively discussing:

With skyrocketing visitation to public lands, how do we both protect our natural landscapes while ensuring equitable and enjoyable access to the outdoors?

Please join us for an evening of food, drinks, community, and thoughtful conversation about advocating at the intersection of conservation and outdoor access.

The focus of the event will include an interactive conversation with panelists:

  • Kitty Craig, The Wilderness Society's Urban to Wild Director
  • Craig Romano, award-winning Mountaineers Books guidebook author and NW trails and hiking expert
  • Kevin Skerl, Deputy Superintendent at Mount Rainier National Park
  • Moderator Betsy Robblee, Conservation and Advocacy Director for The Mountaineers

The evening will conclude with an invitation to support The Mountaineers Conservation & Advocacy Fund through philanthropic support.
