Swimming Holes of Washington at REI

Join Anna Katz and Shane Robinson, the authors of "Swimming Holes of Washington," for a presentation, Q&A, and book signing.

Fill a hole in the ground with water and you have a swimming hole. But what makes a swimming hole good? And where can you find one? For the past four years, writer and editor Anna Katz and kayak- and ski guide Shane Robinson have been on the hunt for Washington's best swimming holes, and they're ready to share their findings in the new guide Swimming Holes of Washington.

From the San Juan Islands to the Washington-Oregon border, the Olympic Peninsula to Palouse Lake, this great state has 8,000 lakes and approximately 70,439 miles of river--and something to satisfy every water enthusiast. Make the most of the PNW's glorious summers by learning Anna's and Shane's research missteps, their favorite spots, and how you can get started on a swimming holes hunt of your own.
