She will discuss the variety of media she uses to capture the essence of each species, share natural histories and art tips to allow you to identify and capture the glory of trees on your next hike.

About the author

Dedicated to connecting people with nature through hands-on art experiences, MOLLY HASHIMOTO teaches aspiring artists and has led plein air art workshops throughout the West, including at the North Cascades Institute, Yellowstone Forever Institute, and Sitka Center for Art and Ecology. Her previous books include Birds of the West, Colors of the West, and Mount Rainier National Park: An Artist’s Tour. Her nature-inspired work has also appeared on cards and calendars for the past three decades. She lives in Seattle.
