Your donation builds a vibrant outdoor community

Do you remember a time when you craved a deeper connection with the natural world? Perhaps you found yourself in a new place or stage of life and you were inspired by someone who shared their passion, experience, and joy of the outdoors with you. Maybe it was a trip leader, role model, friend, or family member. Maybe it was an author, blogger, photographer, or trip reporter.

New people are drawn to our outdoor community with each changing season. As Mountaineers, we offer experiences and education so that everyone can develop skills to enjoy the lands and waters of the PNW confidently, safely and responsibly. Will you make a gift to help The Mountaineers engage a vibrant community of outdoor enthusiasts?

Support an inclusive outdoor community

Donors like you support many of the programs at The Mountaineers that help people get outside. You elevate Mountain Workshops, partner-based programs that provide tailored outdoor experiences for youth of all backgrounds. You fund scholarships that break down financial barriers for adults attending courses or kids attending summer camp. And you support our Gear Library, so that everyone can access the gear and clothing they need to feel safe and prepared outside.

Donations of all sizes move us toward our vision to cultivate a vibrant and inclusive outdoor community.

  • $50 gets our 15-passenger van to Snoqualmie Pass for a Mountain Workshop where young people can experience a day of climbing, hiking, or snowshoeing.
  • $100 stocks a sleeping bag and liner in our Gear Library, which will equip someone for their first backpacking trip.
  • $250 provides a scholarship for one kid to attend a week of summer camp where they will learn to enjoy and  care for the natural world.
  • $1,000 provides transportation, instruction, and technical gear for a group of 12-15 teens on an outdoor climbing trip.
