From picture books to card games, we have something for your kiddo, too! At the bookstore, you will find a selection of picture books for ages 1-7 and chapter books for ages 7-12. In true Mountaineers fashion, our children’s titles range in subject from environmental topics to the history of national parks to the joy of getting outside. Just in time for summer family trips, come grab a discounted copy of National Parks A-Z, or Sticks, Stones, and Pinecones from Mountaineers Books.
We also carry a selection of children's books from other publishers, including:
- Cactus Queen, the true story of Joshua Tree National Park founder, Minerva Hoyt (Calkins Creek).
- What Goes on inside a Beaver Pond?, the inner-workings of a beaver ecosystem (Storey Publishing).
- Fungus is Among Us!, everything you want to know about fungi (The Innovation Press).
