Each October, the Olympia Mountaineers gather to recognize graduates of all our courses and present awards to leaders who have shown exemplary service in climbing, conservation, youth outreach, scrambling, and hiking. Achievement pins and patches are also presented. One Olympia Mountaineer is awarded the Branch Service Award, which recognizes their outstanding service over a multi-year period.
The awards banquet will be held on Saturday October 18, 2025 at Worthington Center in Lacey from 6-9pm. The committee is still in planning stages so keep an eye out for more details on program and ticket information as the date approaches.
This year's featured speaker will be local climbing and trekking guide Dan Mazur. Dan has been leading treks and climbs throughout the world, but Himalaya is his specialty. He also leads service treks to support the needs of people in remote areas of Nepal.
