10 ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS:
WHAT FIRST BROUGHT YOU TO THE MOUNTAINEERS?
I hiked a lot with classmates in college and grad school in Kentucky, so when we moved to the PNW I wanted to find a group of people to continue to hike with.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE MOUNTAINEERS MEMORY?
This is difficult to choose but an Introduction to the Natural World field trip to the Teanaway on a perfect June day during peak wildflower season stands out as a special memory.
What does adventure mean to you?
Honestly, I’m not that adventurous. I love being outdoors, traveling on my own two feet, and learning about the natural world. Exploring a new place is a bonus but not required.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO DONATE TO THE MOUntAINEERS?
I’m aligned with The Mountaineers goals for creating community, exploring together, and working to conserve wild places. I think it’s important to financially support those ideals.

Smile or game face? Game face
What's your favorite close-to-home outdoor activity? Taking long walks around northeast Seattle. We have an amazing choice of urban parks and trails.
Post-adventure meal of choice? Cheeseburger from almost anywhere
What's next on your bucket list? Hiking in Scotland
If you could be adept at any outdoor activity overnight, what would it be? Open-water swimming. I’m an okay swimmer but would be great to be efficient enough to swim longer distances outdoors.
