Summer camp comes in all shapes and sizes, and Mountaineers Youth Programs are no exception. Since the inception of our youth programming in 2011, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming participants of all ages to our Seattle and Tacoma Program Centers, as well as the lands and waters of the PNW. This summer, we’re excited to introduce a new Foothills Day Camp program, and continue our Overnight Lodge Camp programs for their second year with sessions running at all three Mountaineers lodges in 2024.

If you’re looking for more exploration, learning, and community building this summer, then consider joining us for a week (or two, or three!) of Mountaineers Summer Camp – you won’t regret it.

FOOTHILLS DAY CAMP

Weekly camps from July 1 to August 5

Join the adventure with a satellite camp run by Seattle Mountaineers! Foothills Day Camp is based out of Kennydale Memorial Hall in Renton for campers ages 6–10 and runs from 9am to 4pm each day. Each week will feature exploration of the local area, including visits to Mill Creek Park, Cougar Mountain, and swimming at Gene Coloun Memorial Beach Park. We’ll cover basic outdoor skills such as navigation, wilderness first aid, and low impact recreational practices. Campers will also play plenty of games, make crafts, and build community with other outdoor-oriented kids. Each week’s theme will feature different activities and field trips.

SEATTLE OVERNIGHT CAMPS

Campers ages 8-17 are invited to join us for overnight programs located at our rustic mountain lodges! Previously an adventure camp program, lodge camps provide community building and outdoor exploration opportunities (including hiking, swimming, rafting, and more!) all summer long. These camp weeks are great for participants who might be new to overnight programs or are looking for ways to grow their outdoor leadership skills and knowledge. Instruction, food, and gear are included. Camp weeks are specific to each age group (high school, middle school, and late elementary).
