Details
Time of year. Fall is an excellent season to visit the Greek Islands with mild weather, fewer tourists, fall colors, and migratory bird watching. Fall temperatures range from 64°F to 77°F with occasional rain.
Guide service. This is a fully guided trip from Naxos to Santorini (One Foot Forward) and Crete (Cretan Adventures), including luggage transfers, entrance fees to museums/archeological sites, and transportation.
Lodging. We'll stay in bed and breakfast hotels, local inns, and village pensions. Accommodations include shared double rooms with ensuite bathrooms.
Food. Meals include 13 breakfasts and five dinners. Breakfasts are provided by lodging establishments; dinners will be at local taverns with dishes of personal choice or traditional Greek cuisine. All lunches and remaining dinners are on your own (there are abundant nearby restaurants and markets). Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options will likely be available.
Transportation. We'll travel by ferry between islands, via public Metro/taxis in Athens, and in air-conditioned, private vehicles provided by the guide services.
