The Mountaineers
Thank you to all our Giving Tuesday donors for helping us raise more than $61,000 for the Mountaineers Access Program (MAP) scholarship fund!
This fantastic achievement, combined with the $28,000 raised through October’s Dicks-A-Thon, increases our scholarship fund by nearly $90,000. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we will eliminate financial barriers for hundreds of people to find confidence and community outdoors in 2026.

We need to reach $225,000 by the end of December. Thanks to early giving and a successful Giving Tuesday, we are already 40% of the way there! Your donation any time this month will propel us toward our goal and ensure that outdoor access, education, and conservation are well supported in 2026 and beyond.
Your donation by December 31 supports:
- Youth access to the outdoors, including gear, transportation, and skilled instruction
- Leadership development that equips volunteer leaders with skills in instruction, risk management, equity and belonging, and group facilitation
- Teaching and gathering places like our lodges, Kitsap Forest Theatre, program centers, and other training infrastructure
- Mountaineers Books, which publishes a catalog of over 700 titles on outdoor recreation, sustainable lifestyles, conservation advocacy, along with adventure storytelling and local expertise
- Conservation and advocacy that strengthens our collective voice to protect the special lands and waters we explore and adore
