CHS 1 Hike - Icicle Ridge
A challenging hike with a lot of switchbacks but the views from the top are epic!

The route is well maintained and all of the blow overs were cleared from the path. It's a very popular trail with not a lot of room to pass other hikers. Getting to the top was EXHAUSTING but well worth it. Even though there was no mud I highly recommend trekking poles.
Weather was dry and temperatures were into the upper 70s. You should be prepared to bring extra water and electrolytes. There was ample parking as well as a port a potty but getting to the trailhead was a bit confusing as there are multiple ways to hike to Icicle Ridge. After endless switchbacks getting to the ridge was amazing. There were stunning views of the valley, a waterfall and LOTS of yellow flowers! I highly recommend hiking this trail.
