This is a chance for Kitsap scramblers who just passed the snow 1 field trip to try their skills.

As of last trip report (March 26), conditions and terrain were mixed rock and snow, with scrambling on the sides of the winter chute to avoid collapsing snow into running water. The top half of the chute may be icy (crampons and ice axe necessary) and we will not be able to glissade down.

There also may be precipitation and we may get turned around by wet rock or ice.

Either way, it will be fun and a good conditioner.

This is a Plan B activity for cancelled Camp Muir scramble.

Two options:

Big Creek Campground 7:30 a.m.

or

Ellinor Lower TH 9:30 a.m. (one of the leaders will come out, meet you at the Lower TH and bring you up to the jct.) We may ask for a ride down afterward to save our knees the 3mi/2000ft descent.
