Urban Walk - Washington Park Arboretum

A moderate (and mostly flat) 8.8 mile urban walk to Marsh Island, then across the 520 bridge and back.

The walk starts at Parking Lot #15 at the Arboretum, then goes along the Foster Point Trail, under the 520 bridge and over to the Arboretum Waterfront Trail, Marsh Island, and East Montlake Park. From there we get on the SR 520 Trail, and cross the Evergreen Point Floating Bridge over to the small but pretty Fairweather Nature Preserve for our break. We retrace our steps but at the western end of the bridge we take the new pedestrian overpass to the south side of the bridge and take residential streets and trails back to Parking Lot #15. We’ll try to average 2.5 mph while moving but still stop to see some stuff.

Arboretum Parking Lot #15 at 8:15 a.m., ready to go by 8:30 a.m. There is also parking available at nearby lots, but we’ll be starting our walk from the western side of Parking Lot #15 (47.64082, -122.29424) https://maps.app.goo.gl/72SaTemMh9NVbFNeA?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy
