Urban Walk - University of Washington: Seattle Campus

This will be a walk will highlight the 7 new murals in the U District area. From the mural walk we will continue on to the University of Washington campus.

Meeting Place:  10:00 a.m. NE 43th Street & Brooklyn Ave. NE  (at the entrance to the U District Station)

Ending Place:  University of Washington light rail station (Montlake Blvd. NE & NE Pacific Place)

This University District walk highlights 7 new murals in the area.    From the mural walk we will continue to walk through the University of Washington campus.  We will walk down Memorial Way to Red Square where we can stop in at the Suzzallo library to see the beautiful Reading Room.  Restrooms are also located in the Suzzallo library.  From Red Square we will continue on to the Drumheller Fountain. We will head south on Rainier Vista with a stop at the gardens, and then on to a short portion of the Burke Gilman trail.  We will end at the University of Washington light rail station.  This will be a one way walk.  We will start at the U District light rail station and end at the University of Washington Station (at the stadium).  From there you can take light rail back up to the U District station if you parked there, or walk back, or continue on your way from Univ. of Washington Station.  Please sign up on the Mountaineer’s website or contact the leader Cheryl Patterson  email – cmpatter@hotmail.com to sign up, or get more information.
