Walk from the shore up to the Loyal Heights Bluff and down the Golden Garden Stairs to the beach park. Explore, then return up the stairs and down city streets to complete this sunset loop.

This Golden Gardens walk is an expanded Seattle Stairway Walk (2013, Mountaineers Books) featuring spectacular views along the bluff and 272 stairs down to Golden Gardens Park and the same back up to complete the loop through Loyal Heights and Sunset Hill neighborhoods.   It looks like partly cloudy, but dry, great weather for sunsets.

Meet at 5:45 pm for a 6pm start along Seaview Ave West/Burke Gilman Trail in Ballard where the trail starts a gradual rise (just north of Sunset West Condominium).
