Urban Adventure - Fort Flagler State Park

Plan a weekend expedition! Spend Friday and Saturday nights in a renovated historic building at the fort and hike through the woods and military batteries from WW1 and WW2 that are all along the bluff during the day. Enjoy dinner and games together at night. This is a family trip and only vaccinated adults and kids are allowed. Sunday add on the trip to the nearby Fort Warden listed separately.

This is designed to be a winter adventure, with "camping" in a historic building.  You will need to bring your own bedding and towels.  There are four bedrooms with a total of two queen size beds and four single beds.

We will arrange for Friday and Saturday night group dinners and plan on games and socializing in the evenings.

By signing up for this, you are automatically included in Saturday hiking activities at the Fort.

You will receive instructions about check in time at our WaterHouse for Friday night for some time after 4:00pm. It is about a 1.5 hour drive from Olympia.  You will want to arrive by 7:00pm for group dinner and room assignment.

Check out is by 10:00 on Sunday morning.  Participants can sign up for the Sunday hike at Fort Warden at 11:00 am or decide to go home.

Sleeping bags or bedding for the beds.

Daypacks for hiking with family essentials, including first aid kits for adults.

Hiking shoes and full rain gear for all.

Two breakfasts, two lunches, snacks, water.

Dinners will be coordinated and part of the fee.

The cost will be $60 per room of two, which includes dinner. There may be a separate fee for cars, depending on how many we have, of up to $15.

A Discover Pass is required.
