Stewardship Half Day - Shadow Lake Nature Preserve
Help SHADOW beautify our 100-acre preserve and wetland bog by maintaining trails, removing invasive weeds, and planting and pruning native species.

No previous experience or tools are required, but attendees should come prepared for moderate physical activity and removal of invasive species such as blackberries. We aim to provide a range of tasks. Make sure to arrive with weather-proof clothing for working outside, a water bottle, and a smile. Please be aware that you may encounter muddy areas and plants with thorns. Staff will lead a tour of the peat bog at 12:30 pm for those who are interested.
This Restoration Work Party takes place from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve (21656 184th Ave SE, Renton WA 98058). We will meet in the main parking lot of SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve. Parking is limited and carpooling encouraged. Extra parking is along 184th Ave.
