Sea Kayak - Arcadia Point Vicinity
Morning paddle from Arcadia. Will play in the ebb at Cape Horn in Hammersley Inlet and then paddle around to Hope for an early lunch. Back to the launch by 1pm. This trip is mostly SK-II, but rated at SK-IV due to the currents around Cape Horn.

Planning on spending an hour or so at the maximum ebb around Cape Horn. Then a leisurely tour by Squaxin and Hope Islands, returning to Arcadia vis Steamboat Island.
Meet at the Acadia Point boat ramp.
Be ready to get on the water by 8:30am
Porta potties available at the parking lot.
No fee for the launch.
Required Equipment
These eight essentials plus The Ten Essentials are required on all sea kayaking trips. All but the whistle and clothing should be provided with any kayak rental.
- Floatation in both ends of the kayak
- U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
- Paddle
- Spray skirt
- Bilge pump with floatation
- Self-rescue paddle float
- Waterproof whistle
- Appropriate clothing for the conditions encountered seasonally
