A good starting point for South Puget Sound kayaking trips and clinics, Arcadia Point is located near Shelton. The vicinity offers many short or long trips.
On the water
Arcadia Point offers a convenient launch point to access Hammersly Inlet, Totten Inlet, Little Skookum Inlet, Pickering Passage, Squaxin Island, Harstene Island, Hope Island and more. It is also a good starting or ending point for shuttle trips on Hammersly and Totten Inlets.
Notes
- Arcadia Point is accessed via the Squaxin Tribal boat launch at the end of SE Lynch Road.
- The launch is shared by a lot of fishing and other recreational power boat traffic in season, tribal, commercial and private. Mountaineers need to be mindful of the needs of other users.
- The adjacent beaches are private or tribally owned.
