Wed. Dec. 24 - arrive as you're able. The upper Sno-Park is 3.2mi and 800 vertical feet from the hut. The lower is 5.4mi and 1600ft. It is hikeable at night. Please find a buddy arriving at the TH at the same time as you if possible. Because you don't need a tent, sleeping pad, stove, water filter, we may arrange to bring games or group food for the hut. Bring sleeping bag, pillow, bottom sheet for mattress + 10 Es and dinners/bfasts for the hut and trail snacks.

Thurs, Dec. 25 - 8:30 begin 10mi, 2000+ft hike or snowshoe to Puyallup Ridge Lookout, one of the more obscure fire lookouts in WA. Be back at the Copper Creek Hut by sunset. Share dinner, games, etc... The hut is open for the public from 7 am to 7pm, so be sure to secure valuables or bring them in your pack. Generally people do leave their sleeping gear in the huts though, as the bunks are upstairs. The hike to Puyallup Ridge Lookout is exploratory for the leaders - no guarantees.

Fri, Dec. 26 - hike out in the morning. Weather depending, we can do a different hike near Mount Rainier (Glacier View to Gobblers Knob or such) or go our separate ways, but the Mountaineers activity ends at the hut in the morning.

Copper Creek Hut Christmas Eve, time TBD.

Because people are getting off work early or late that day and because some people need to work on Dec. 26, the official trip will start from Copper Creek hut. This is one reason we're only taking people who have hiked or scrambled with us before. People are encouraged to carpool and buddy up for the hike in and out between the hut and the Sno-Park lot.

The other reason is that everyone must make and pay for their own reservations. We do not have the whole hut booked.
