  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 11.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 5,000 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 8,886 ft

Fryingpan Creek TH, 5:30AM.

Should be an adventurous climb, both on the snow and on the rock.  A concise route and climb description is in Beckey's CAG, v1, p128 that lists the climbing as 5.6-5.7.  There is some additional beta available online in the Rainier climbing blog (here), on the Mountaineers blog (here), and in the usual places (LoJ, PeakBagger).   Online pictures are limited, but here is a good view of the east aspect.

We will climb in teams of two.  We will travel on skis.
