This will be a moderate pace with a mix of fast hiking up steep hills and jogging (10-15 min miles).  If you're concerned about pace feel free to reach out. I'm pretty accommodating just want to get the miles in so don't mind going slower than the stated pace.

This is my favorite Trail Running route on Tiger as it hits 3 summits, gets the elevation gain out of the way quickly, and has some great long rolling hill trails to run down.   We will regroup at all trail junctions and summits. Below are the specifics for the route:

  • Run up to the West Tiger 3 Trailhead via an unnamed side trail.
  • Fast hike or attempt to jog up West Tiger 3, work on our PR (Personal Records) for fastest time up.
  • Regroup at Tiger 3 Summit and high five each other for our awesome speed.
  • Head over to Tiger 2, stop for a snack and a group summit photo by the awesome bench
  • Traverse over to Tiger 1 (Note, if the gate is locked we will take the trail just below the Tiger 1 summit)
  • Take the Bootleg trail over to the Preston trail, then to Dwights Way, then out on the High Point Trail
  • There is a short .5 mile section of road to run back to our cars.
