Day Hike - Winchester Mountain

A twofer hike of both the Winchester Mtn. and High Pass trails with spectacular views of the North Cascades.

Meet at 7:00 a.m. in Bellingham to consolidate carpools for very rough access road. Get off I5 at Exit 255. Turn right or east on the Mt. Baker Hwy. (542). Turn left at the first light into Sunset Square. Turn right again and park east of Skagit Bank. 

Aug 27, Sun – Winchester Mtn. & High Pass, (GT #14, Mount Shuksan). 7+ mi. and 2,600+' elev. gain. Pace will be moderate with breaks for views and snacks. A treat to share is always welcome. Hint, the leader likes cookies. The party limit will be 5 until I confirm that we have at least one other high clearance vehicle for the very rough road to the trailhead. If another high clearance vehicle is available the limit will be raised to 8. Meet at 7:00 a.m. in Bellingham to consolidate carpools for very rough access road. Get off I5 at Exit 255.
