If you are recovering from surgery, rehabbing an injury, trying to get back in shape, or just doing some low intensity maintenance workouts, this may suit you. Leader has been doing loops at local parks of about 2 to 3 miles, averaging a little under 2 mph. Tolmie State Park has a few nice two- to three-mile loops. Leader is planning on one with about 2 1/4 miles and 225' elevation gain. We'll try for a social pace, slow enough to talk but enough for some cardio conditioning. Hiking time one to two hours. We'll hike rain or shine. Expect a few muddy spots if recent rain.
Upper parking lot (first right turn after entering park) in front of restroom and picnic pavilion, across from Park Office, at 11:00 am. Discover Pass required for parking, may be purchased in park.
