Day Hike - The Arboretum, Interlaken Park & Volunteer Park

This is a scenic three loops hike including Washington Park Arboretum , Interlaken Park , and Volunteer Park . The tour includes great views at Union Bay and from the Water Tower Observatory on Capitol Hill summit .

We will meet at the Graham Visitors Center , Washington Park Arboretum at 9:00 am . There will be one carpool site at Green Lake Park and Ride lot on 65th under the freeway. I will be there at 8:30 am and can take four hikers in a White Escape. I will be in the  North of 65th lot. Then , we will leave Green Lake for the trail head at 8:45 am . The  hikers driving directly need to take I-5 North to SR 520 from downtown Seattle. Drive .7 mile east and take the first exit (Montlake  Blvd ) . At the light, proceed straight onto Lake Washington Blvd E and drive .6 mile, turning left onto E. Foster Island Road . Continue .1 mile and then turn right onto Arboretum Drive E. Then immediately turn left into a parking area at the Graham Visitors Center . A note of caution to not turn left onto the Entrance to 520 before reaching E. Foster Island Road. There are restrooms  at the Graham Visitors Center and Volunteer Park .
