Day Hike - Silver Star Mountain via North Ridge

Let's catch the end of the Beargrass superbloom on one of the 100 Classic WA hikes, now accessible via a recently repaired road. Wildflowers and views galore.

  • Easy/Moderate
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 8.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 2,500 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 4,390 ft
  • Pace: 2.25 mph average moving pace

We'll travel a clockwise loop along Ed's trail ("2 short sections require some use of hands"), view the famous "Rock Arch," and head to Silver Star Peak, hoping for stellar views. Then along Bluff Mtn. Trail to Starway Knoll elevation 3,977 ft. Retrace our steps and return via the Silver Star Trail.

Late start due to distance from the Seattle area. I will be overnighting in the area for a backpacking trip on Thursday, so I will not be available to offer carpool rides. Hopefully, some carpooling can happen depending on interest and participants.
