The timing of this hike is to see the fall colors at their peak which has been this same week for the past two years. Hopefully, that will not have changed this year. We'll start by hiking down into Paradise Valley, then see the oft-photographed reflection in the lake and up to Mazama Ridge. After hiking out toward the Paradise Glacier, we'll re-join the Skyline Trail and head down the Golden Gate.
Expect to see not only fall color, but also bears munching on berries. This is also the peak time to see bears - if you plan to photograph them, bring your telephoto lens.
