Conditioning hike for students in the 2025 Alpine Scrambling and Climbing Courses. Please do not register without leader permission if you are not registered for one of the courses.

The typical conditioner activity will require students to gain approximately 3100 feet with a 25 pound pack in 2.5 hours. Other branches scrambling and climbing -- please refer to your respective course manuals for weight and time requirements.  You can weigh down your pack with water which can then be dumped at the summit.  Bring poles and traction as there is most likely snow at the summit.

We will move at a moderate pace and only break for layering up/down.  These conditioners will most likely be done at your own pace but please have the fitness to finish in the alloted time.  You have leader permission if you are currently registered in a scrambling or climbing course.

We will meet in the Main Trail parking lot at 7:45am and be on the trail by 8.  A Discover Pass will be required for each vehicle.
