Day Hike - Millersylvania State Park
Come join us for an after school hike in one of our nearby parks. This hike could be anywhere between 2 and 4 miles depending on the mood of the kids involved! We will have maps available and encourage the kids to collaborate to navigate us through the woods. This time of year the vine maples are usually turning yellow and we should be in full fall (possibly rainy!) mode. Please plan accordingly for this possibility and bring rain gear and appropriate layers! This hike is intended for kids with their guardians.

This is a relaxed after school hike for families interested in some potentially rainy fall woods! We will likely go 2-4 miles depending on the mood of the group. We will have maps and kids will be encouraged to participate in navigation. Younger kids are welcome, this trail would be best suited for a carrier (not a stroller).
Meet at Millersylvania at 4 pm. Details will be sent out in an email a couple of days before.
A Discover Pass is required to park here, or you can pay a one time park fee at the entrance.
This hike will be rain or shine, unless there is a storm that poses a danger to participants.
Required Equipment
Basic family hiking gear including:
a family first aid kit
backpack for kids and adult
rain appropriate clothes (boots and jacket)
water and snacks
