You will need to arrange car pools if needed. I live in Eastern Washington, thus will meet you at trailhead. It is a long drive from the Seattle area, so you may want to consider arranging lodging, or camping on the way. It is also a long drive for me, so I will be camping on the east side of the North Cascades Highway. We will meet at 9:00 am at trailhead. I will have a beige colored motorhome.
This hike is a loop, with wonderful scenery and views, beautiful lakes, and, at the time we will be hiking, great fall colors. Although it is rated moderate, due to length and elevation gain, I have always felt it should be rated closer to moderate/strenuous. It just seems harder than moderate, but well worth the effort.
Recommend a good level of fitness, and stamina for this hike. You must have hiking boots, and all ten essentials. I would ask that cancellations be made at least 48 hours before the hike, except in emergent circumstances.
