Cross-country Ski - Nason Ridge

Strenuous cross country ski route. The goal is to have fun, stay together and be safe. Not for beginners. Considered a challenging route due to the elevation gain and must be in shape to handle the uphill and have good downhill control skills.

  • N2 Nordic Advanced Basic Ski, Strenuous
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 14.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 1,500 ft

Meet  at 9:00 am at  Nason Ridge Sno Park. Sno Park permit required to avoid a ticket

Requires Leader permission to register. Requires Cross Country skiing badge from any branch.

My goals are to start on time, maintain a steady uphill pace and that the group stay together  for safety reasons. And always to make sure we are having fun.

Trip will be cancelled for inclement weather or if the trail is not groomed or icy. The long downhill run could be challenging if icy.

We may switch to easier skiing, such as the trails at Plain if conditions are not good.

Members to arrange their own carpools.
