Much of this tour is flat or undulating, however there is a 1.5 mile section that is a "black/expert" trail, requiring strong speed control and turning skills (Power's Plunge). Do not sign up for this activity if you do not have advanced intermediate skills as needed to negotiate steep hills. There is no alternate route for the expert section. This is an N3 (Intermediate) level trip. Please call the leader with questions.
This activity is one of four being offered by Cheri Solien and Cindy Hoover over the holiday weekend. Participants are responsible for their individual lodging and transportation arrangements. Please do not sign-up until you have successfully secured lodging. Trail passes are required. See methowtrails.org for trail pass costs and trail maps.
We will meet at the trailhead nearest to the town of Winthrop (the Spring Creek Ranch Trailhead on the map) promptly at 9:00 a.m., ready to ski.
