Ferries and Water taxi will be utilized as well. PERMISSION REQUIRED for basic cycling fitness. Depending on where you meet the group RT distance could be around 100 miles and elevation gain 1500-2000 feet. It could be significantly less if you meet closer to South Seattle or West Seattle or are coming from Tacoma.
More details and meeting locations will be sent via email.
Reservations have been made at Maury Island Marine Park for 3 sites ($20/site). Participants are expected to reimburse leaders. Exact amount will depend on number of participants. Waivers to be signed will be sent to registered participants.

Folks coming from North Seattle area will meet and ride on the Burke Gilman trail to Ballard, cross the canal at the locks and then ride along the Seattle waterfront to the West Seattle water taxi. Others may meet at the Fauntleroy ferry, then take the ferry to Vashon. The final section of the ride will be on mostly quiet rural roads to Maury Island park.
