This route loosely follows the Kitsap Peninsula section of Cross-Washington bikepacking route. It is mostly off-pavement or on rural country routes and involves a significant portion of singletrack riding.
On the first day we will travel through the Kitsap Heritage Park and Port Gamble Heritage Park and end at Kitsap Memorial State Park hiker/biker campsites. The next morning we will head north on highway 3 to the northernmost portion of the Port Gamble upland block and traverse more of the Port Gamble Heritage park riding some singletrack trails (green and easy blue rating) and then exit the park and retrace our way back to the ferry.
A link to the draft route in GAIA GPS is here.
When asking for permission, please state what kind of bike you have and what experience you have riding singletrack blue trails with and without bikepacking gear.
2:00-3:00PM at the Edmonds Ferry terminal. Return to Edmonds Ferry by midday or early afternoon the following day. Planning emails will be sent to registered participants with final details.
