We'll explore a loop in Commonwealth Basin at a casual/moderate pace. Most of us have done little snowshoeing this year, so remember that the effort it takes to snowshoe the same distance as hiking is 1.5 - 2 times as much. Plus carrying additional weight in our packs and on our person for the weather conditions and safety supplies.  Ensure your recent conditioning is ready for this.

I have hiked in this area, but not snowshoed here yet. This will be my first snowshoe trip of 2026.

Individuals need to have evidence of successful shoeshoe trips or other strenuous activities in the past 3 months on their Mountaineers profile. If not, please reach out, and we'll discuss.

Join me if this sounds like fun!
