We'll go out and back, from Ape Canyon to the intersection with the Loowit Trail in the Plains of Abraham. Should be at least 12 miles, maybe as many as 14 miles, but we'll keep an eye on the mileage. Bring plenty of water and sun protection!!!
- Ape Canyon — Washington Trails Association (wta.org) has trail description and directions from Woodland, WA.
- Leader will be camping and climbing Mt. St. Helens on July 27 so will be offline from Friday night, July 26 onwards.
9:30am at the Ape Canyon trailhead. Northwest Forest Pass or America the Beautiful pass or equivalent required. Cell phone service is generally poor to nonexistent in this area. We will wait no more than 15 minutes before starting.
