Alpine Scramble - Guye Peak, Snoqualmie Mountain & Cave Ridge (Alpental)

Team voted change to Guye Peak, due to high temp-full southern Snoqualmie slope aspect and NWAC report of 2 wet avalanche Friday 8:20am. Denny Peak changed to Snoqualmie Mountain, because Alpental Chair Lift construction has closed access to slopes. Parking lot still available so we will ascend Snoqualmie Mt. from Alpental: 6 miles / 3200' gain.

  • Strenuous 2, Technical 3
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 5.5 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 2,600 ft
  • Pace: moderate

Meeting Place  & Carpool:

Snoqualmie Mountain is a classic snow scramble. The higher elevation will ensure snow and true scramble feel whereas Guye Peak maybe a bit too easy from Alpental - Snow Lake TH. The snow bridges to Guye via Commonwealth Basin are melted out so let's pass on that route.
